Meet the Founder:
I’m Sheila, a dedicated full-spectrum doula, wife, and mother of two. My commitment to serving families is built on a diverse professional foundation, including years spent as a nanny and time as a preschool aide teacher. These roles cultivated my patience and ability to handle the delicate needs of little ones. Furthermore, my experience as a full-time social media manager for various companies honed my communication and organizational skills, allowing me to advocate for you effectively. Each of these steps uniquely prepared me to offer the steady, compassionate, and attentive support parents deserve during the sacred seasons of pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum life.
My Calling to Birth Work
My path to becoming a doula was not simply a career choice—it was a calling placed on my heart by God. Through my own experiences with pregnancy, birth, and motherhood, I came to understand that bringing new life into the world is one of the most sacred and life-changing experiences a person can encounter. I felt called to walk beside mothers during this powerful season, offering compassionate support, education, encouragement, and a steady helping hand. My faith reminds me of the way Jesus moved through the world—with love, humility, compassion, and a willingness to care for people in their moments of greatest need. That example continues to shape the way I serve every mother and family entrusted to my care.
The Heart Behind My Care
During my own birth experience, something within me changed. Birth did not leave me with fear; it gave me a deeper sense of wonder, purpose, and closeness to God. I began to see birth as one of the closest glimpses of heaven we may experience on earth—a sacred meeting place where strength, surrender, pain, love, faith, and new life come together. In those moments, I felt that the veil between heaven and earth was especially near, and I knew I wanted to help other mothers feel supported as they crossed into motherhood or welcomed another child into their family.
My calling is to provide care that nurtures both the mother and the baby. Whether I am offering comfort during labor, helping families understand their options, supporting recovery after birth, caring for a newborn while a mother rests, or simply being a calm and reassuring presence, I believe every act of care matters. My goal is to help mothers feel strengthened rather than alone, informed rather than overwhelmed, and deeply supported throughout their journey. I approach this work with faith, compassion, education, and the belief that caring for mothers and newborns is more than a service—it is part of the purpose God has placed on my life.
